What goes Around;

The atmosphere in the restaurant was intimate, the illuminating light came from the candles on each table. The white tablecloths and linen napkins added an upscale touch to this neighborhood Bistro.

Suzanne and Todd were seated at their favorite table, located in the back corner of the restaurant where they could observe all the activity around them yet it allowed them the privacy they liked when they dinned out. Tonight, was their anniversary but, Suzanne was wondering if it might be there, last.

This was the second marriage for both of them, She, had married in College and it didn’t last. After graduation, she and her first husband couldn’t agree on where to live or how they saw their future unfolding. Both had received good job offers, but they were in different parts of the country. She wanted to locate closer to her aging parents and he wanted a warmer climate. They decided they would take their respective job offers and see which one presented a better future for them.

As everyone could see except for the two of them, long distance relationships don’t work out. They divorced six months later. Suzanne, held no ill will towards her Ex, and had wished him well when they went their separate ways.

She put all of her energy into her work and now many years later, here she sat thinking that her world was falling apart once again.

Comes Around;

Todd, was ten years older than Suzanne, they had met when he joined the company. He had been married to his first wife when he started working with Suzanne.

A New Start;

Mort Levin sat at his big desk thinking about his family, his company and what the future held for all of them. He knew he needed some help, he had lately been feeling his age and the frequency of new health issues were increasing at an alarming rate. He had not shared these concerns with anyone not even his wife. He believed it was just age related, but he knew that when he was gone things around here would change and his fear was that it would not be for the better.

Mort’s friend Don Samuels, had mentioned on a few occasions a man he had come to know and who he had used his services on a couple of past problem projects. Don had told Mort, this may be the guy you’re looking for. Mort had confided to Don his concerns for the future of his company when he was no longer able to hold control. Don said, call him and talk to him and see if he can help you. Mort told Don he would.

The Interview;

Todd walked into the dark restaurant he was there to meet a man about a job. He didn’t know exactly what the job was but he needed to work. Todd had taken a year off and was ready to get back to what he was good at and this seemed to be that opportunity.
